Tips on Cutting Linoleum Flooring

Tips on Cutting Linoleum Flooring

You can make cuts to Linoleum with a sharpe knife or scissors

1. When you cut linoleum you should ensure you have adequate spacing. If you come across a corner where the corner extends into the room, make a straight cut on the linoleum where it meets the corner. Cut all the way down the linoleum where it reaches the floor.

The byproduct of this work will be that flaps will be created on either side of the corner which will allow room for the corner to stick out and the linoleum can sit upright against the flooing. Cut the flaps away with a knife, and then get it flush with the floor.
